Medical Courier / Driver

About the Role

MediCariOn is hiring Medical Couriers / Drivers to transport specimens, pharmaceuticals, medical records, and other healthcare materials between hospitals, labs, dialysis centers, physician offices, and pharmacies across the Raleigh-Durham Triangle. This role is critical to patient care — the materials you transport often directly affect how quickly a patient gets a diagnosis or treatment.

Coverage Area

Raleigh, Durham, Cary, Chapel Hill, Apex, Garner, Wake Forest, Morrisville, Holly Springs, and the Research Triangle Park corridor. Specific routes are assigned based on driver location and facility schedules.

Schedule

Both full-time and part-time schedules are available. Routes include scheduled daily pickups, on-demand same-day deliveries, and occasional after-hours or weekend STAT dispatch. Specific shift details are discussed during the interview based on route assignment.

Requirements

• ✓Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record
• ✓Reliable personal vehicle (mileage reimbursement provided) or ability to operate a company vehicle where assigned
• ✓Ability to lift and carry up to 30 lbs (specimen coolers, supply boxes, equipment cases)
• ✓Successful completion of a background check
• ✓Comfortable with HIPAA-conscious handling procedures and chain-of-custody documentation (training provided)
• ✓Reliable smartphone for route communication and delivery confirmation
• ✓Punctual, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
